This work focuses on the use of straw in textile design. It has been studied to what extent straw can form a textile surface, generate volume, and create an interesting pattern at the same time. In the process, rye straw has been systematically applied to natural and synthetic textile surfaces of different weights to identify possibilities and limitations. The physical deformability of the straw has allowed for various experiments and has led to the current collection, which inspires applications in space.
